Jomsome Muktinath Trek is the best combination of Annpurna and Mustang region of Nepal. The two weeks trek begans from Kathmandu with the tour of historical and cultural monuments of UNESCO world Heritage sites. Next, we are in Pokharabeautiful valley set on the banks of the Phewa Lake, Pokhara is also known for its panoramic views of Annapurna, Machapuchare (shape of fish tail) in the north, and Dhaulagiri in the west, LamjungHimal and Manaslu in the east. It is smaller, clean, natural and much less crowded than Kathmandu. Hence, this providing the perfect starting point for our trek.

In the first two days of this trek is going uphill up to 3210m from 1000m. These two days we enjoypanoramic view of Himalayas, village, rhododendron forest and so on. After this we again decent 1100m in Tatopani natural hot spring, give our tired muscles a well-deserved bath in the delightful natural hot springs. From here we explore Holi River Kalagandaki valley, world Deepest garage Dana; bottom of two giant mountain Dhulagiri(8176m) and Annapurna I (8091m). After couple of days we entry the Mustang Valley, which is very popular for apple. We enjoy to the different delicious Apple Item in Marpha, which is the capital town of Apple In Nepal. This is actually quite similar in Tibet in China some time we call this is mini Tibet in Nepal. Slowey we are in Kagbeni village, where is the very unique settlement and old amazing monastery. Finally we are in Muktinath famous pilgrimage place of both Hindu and Buddhist people. Muktinath is the Final destination.

The lodges in the JomsomMuktinath Trekking Region are well equipped with extensive menus ranging from the typical Nepali dahl bath (rice with lentils) to pizza and momo, the entire noodle item or all the good foods what aver you like.  And especially all the local products are mostly organic. Hot showers are readily available as well. Even now a days most of the places they have Wi-Fiservices.

It is possible to do this trek in all seasons; however, in the winter more cold. In spring time the huge Rhododendron forests are in full bloom which gives the trek an extra appeal.

Similarly, Tourist Visa with Multiple Entries for 90 days can be obtained by paying US $ 100. Please bring 2 copies of passport size photos).

    Heartily welcome in Kathmandu, the Nepalese capital and cultural hub. We’ll be waiting with a warm greeting and easy transfer to your hotel by private tourist car and early evening overall briefing about your trek (introduction with guide).

    • Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and trek Preparation

      Today after breakfast we start a cultural tour some of the most historical and architectural attractions of world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley which are listed by UNESCO. We visit The famous Temple in the town 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambhunath), historic Kathmandu Durbar Square, Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), which is the largest Buddhist stupas in the world and Hindu divine temple of Pashupatinath. In the evening introduced to fellow participants, and briefly discuss our trip.

      • Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (850m) by tourist bus – 7/8 hrs or Fly to Pokhara 30 min.

        Today we are formally starting our trip from Kathmandu early morning having breakfast in our hotel before this need to be ready position to finish all backpack. We pick at the hotel around at 6:30am and heading to the bus station. The bus Kathmandu to Pokhara leaves at around 7:00am. The buss normally stops two times on the way for lunch, snack breaks. We have beautiful river valley with the rice, millet, crops tarries which give us refresh all the time in this long drive. Finally in the afternoon we reach a beautiful valley set on the banks of the Phewa Lake, Pokhara is also known for its panoramic views of Annapurna, Machapuchare (shape of fish tail) in the north, and Dhaulagiri in the west, LamjungHimal and Manaslu in the east. It is smaller, clean, natural and much less crowded than Kathmandu, hence providing the perfect starting point for our trek. Note: If we take by fly it takes only 30 min. flight with fantastic view on the aircraft. After reaching the Pokhara we check in our hotel have rest about an hour and short hike over the Phewa Lake. Overnight have good rest and sleep in Pokhara.

        • Day 04: Drive to Nayapul (1,010 m) – 1.30 hr, Trek to Tikhedunga (1,570 m); 3-4 hours

          Wake up around at 6.30 am in the morning, having back pack and ready position. We take our breakfast at hotel around 7.30 am. Today we began our real trek at Nayapul after a one and half hour drive from Pokhara. We will good luck for all of us! To manage all our back, trekking poles we start to walk here along the banks of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1,015 m) a large village with many shops and teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village and follows the north bank of the BhurungdiKhola. Today’s most of trails flat and easy walk. There is very nice and traditional village both side of the valley the trails continuous with the some steppe uphill then we reach Hille village and after a short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at (1,570 m). Overnight we have good rest and sleep in the teahouse.

          • Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2,850 m) – 6/7 hrs.

            Today is long and might be difficult trails because almost all the way steeply uphill. We take our breakfast and slowly start around 7 am. We crossed two suspension bridge one after another then the trails become steeply uphill continuous to Ulleri, a large Magar village at an altitude of 2,070 m. from here we have incredible view of Mt. Annapaurna south (7219m). After crossed Ulleri village we have continuous trail about an hour then we reach Banthati, we might be stop short time here for some drink and rest with the fantastic view of the mountain and forest. We continuous our way up to the north direction after here most of the trails become fewer steppes with shadow whish give us some relief after long steep uphill. We enter rhododendron forest in the spring season it is absolutely amazing seen with flowers. Then we trek towards Nangethanti at 2,460 m. After an hour walk, we reach at popular place Ghorepani (2,840 m). Overnight we have good rest and sleep at Ghorepani.

            • Day 06: Hike up to Poon Hill (3,210 m); trek to Tatopani (1,190m/3,904ft): 5-6 hours

              Today, very early in the morning( around 4.30 am) we start our an hour hiking with the help of our head lamp to Poon Hill at the point of 3,210m, it is very steep uphill which rewarded a real breathtaking view of the Himalayas. POON HILL is the best view point to see overall Annapurna range, Dhulagiri, Tukche, Lamjunghimal, Fishtail and many more. Sunrise over the mountain gives the miracle beauty. We spent this fantastic view point about half an hour and capturating some this incridable beauty and heading back to the teahouse. We take hot breakfast before starting our trek. Today we have need to decent long way down almost 2000m; we begin with a descent toChitra,Sikha Village and continue descending to GharKhola Village. After crossing a suspension bridge, our trail goes up to Tatopani. While here we can enjoy hot spring water and relax. Stay overnight in Tatopani.

              • Day 07: Tatopani to Ghasa (2,110m/6,922ft): 5-6 hours

                After having breakfast we begain our trek with the easy flat trail up to the Dana village. After crossing suspension bridge we are heading to the beautiful waterfall, RupseChhahara and near by the old deepest George. The rice, millet tares are really wonderful. Today we all are very grateful to observe lifestyle of the local people, orange, Gove and Banana trees are both side of our trails. We ascend further to Ghasa, which is the very green and beautiful. Stay overnight in Ghasa.

                • Day 08: Ghasa to Marpha (2,680m/8,792ft): 6-7 hours

                  We start from Ghasa after having good breakfast. Today is long day trek to reach Marpha. First couple of hour ascends on a steep trail up to the Lete village after this all the time we flow Holy River Kaligandaki and the trails is flat and wide. We pass a several Thakali village. We can see Mt Annapurna I, Dhulagiri, Tukuche and more mountain very fantastic view on the way. Finally we reach the Marpha. Marpha is also known as capital city of apple, in the autumn season here is a lot of fresh Apple, Apple Juice, Apple Pie, Apple Brandy and many more apple Product we can enjoy different items made by Apple. And here is also very popular ThakaliKhana Set, which means set of rice and vegetable. In the afternoon we visit Buddhist Monastery and explore this unique town Marpha. It is very peace, clean and amazing place. Stay overnight in Marpha.

                  • Day 09: Marpha to Kagbeni (2,810/9,218ft): 4-5 hours

                    Today we have only short walk about 4 hours and all the way is flat along the Kaligandaki River. We start in the morning to avoid big wind at the afternoon, it is windy valley. We reach Jomsome, which is headquarters of Mustang District. Now we are very close to the Mt. Nilgiri just in front of us the view is magnificent. The trails continuous to the north couple of hour take us to beautiful place Kagbeni. In the afternoon we explore Kagbeni, where it is very old structure of houses, temple and almost 700 years old Kagbeni Monastery. Kagbeni is one of the unique and interesting villages in this whole trip. It is the get way of Upper Mustang Kingdom. Stay overnight in Kagbeni.

                    • Day 10: Kagbeni to Muktinath (3,710m/12,170ft): 5-6 hours

                      Today we start slowly after having breakfast. All the way to Muktinath is heading up through few mountain villages. Here the valley is much wide. We called this is cold desert in Nepal, here is very few rain looks everything very dry but nice and interesting place, We realize for unbelievable views of breathtaking beauty. Finally dreams become true!! We are in very beautiful Place Muktinath this is our final destination of this trips. Stay Overnight in Muktinath.

                      • Day 11: Muktinath to Jomsom (2,715m/8,910ft): 5-6 hours

                        Muktinath is very famous for both of Hindu and Buddhist Pilgrims. There is very old temple, where the peoplebelieve, ones upon a time lord Shiva as a form of Muktinath are staying here. It is the best example of Nepalese Harmonized culture of religion. EspeciallyHindu people believe themlike to reach this god place at least ones their lifetime. And it is also very famous for Indian people. We visit in the morning this wonderful temple and at the same time it is very nice viewpoint to see Mt. Dhulagiri, Nilgir, Tukche and their neighboring peck. We explore surrounding area of this temple, where there is a special point of natural burning light. After all of this we again back to the tea house having hot breakfast and we return back to Jomsom.

                        • Day 12: Fly back to Pokhara: 20 minutes flight

                          We catch an early morning flight to Pokhara after our long mountain journey. The airplane passes through a gorge between Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountains making the flight itself an amazing experience after reaching Pokhara, we can take a rest. In the afternoon do some souvenir shopping. Boating in the Fewa is the might be great experience. Later after and evening we hike along the Lake Side Street which is the best choice among Visitors.

                          • Day 13: Back to Kathmandu by tourist bus or by fly

                            We leave from Pokhara in the morning, after reaching Kathmandu; we can take a rest. In the afternoon do some souvenir shopping. There will be a farewell dinner in the evening to celebrate the successful completion of our journey. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.

                            • Day 14: Final Departure

                              Your adventure in Nepal comes to an end today! Wish you all the best!! Hence, exchange emails with your travel companions (ZamZam Trekking P. LTD) and organize your photos. A representative from ZamZam Trekking will take you to the airport, approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight.
